The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway built by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) is set to be one of the longest expressway in the country. Running through Dausa, Kota, Ratlam, Vadodara, and Surat, the expressway links Jawaharlal Nehru Port in Maharashtra to the Sohna elevated corridor in Delhi. According to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, contracts worth Rs. 3,633 crore and Rs. 2,287 crore were awarded for constructing 35 km in Valsad and 27 km in Navsari districts, yet construction is yet to begin in these areas. Although work is initiated along all packages, with significant progress being observed in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, the primary concern is the slow pace of activites in Gujrat.

The entire expressway is now estimated to be operational by October 2025.
